Excited!

Today was a good day at the gym! I ran 1.75 miles without stopping. I stopped for just a few seconds then pushed to 2 miles. I then did 3 miles in 36:11. Yay! I think I can hit my goal of 2 miles before surgery.

One thing I have noticed is aerobically I am doing very well. I keep having to stop because my legs get tired but I am not huffing and puffing. I know this weight is what is doing it! I can't wait to be lighter :o)

Day 10 - 3 miles
--------------------
8am - 3 miles total
1.75 mi in 19:47
2 mi in 22: 46
3 mi in 36:11

Regular PT strength training

That is soooo great!

Congratulations, Jen. :D

BTW, thanks for leaving a comment on my posting. I will check it out. I don't know if I'll participate, I still feel really shaky about my photography skills, but I'll take a look.

And I did see you very sweet reply on the forums. I sent you a message back in the same thread, but I don't remember which thread it was! Alas, it's no biggie.

I'm really glad you liked that one, it's actually my favorite. ;)

Looks like you're doing awesome keeping up the running. That sucks about the power outages on Guam. Is it because of the weather there or some other reason?

Ha! The good ol' power outages. I think they usually get blamed on the brown tree snakes. I always loved waking up in a pool of sweat without air conditioning. But the cold showers were almost desirable. The best place to be during a power outage is at a bar because they always have generators.

How many quakes and typhoons have you been through?

Awesome job, Jen. Keep it up!

Great job Jen. Tired legs are normal. As a matter of fact there will be times when your legs strength/endurance will out pace your aerobic capacity. You will find it is a balancing act between the two... just keep within the capabilities of the lagging body function.

Just this week my legs have been giving out on me before my breathing and at distance I have covered multiple times before... go figure.
