I THOUGHT I was having a great run

Today, I went to the gym for a treadmill run. I always cover up the display with a towel. I was running for what felt like FOREVER. I seriously thought I was over 3 miles it felt THAT long. I looked, and was just over 2 miles! Somehow that made the last two miles hard.

Even though today felt like my hardest 4 miler yet, I finished with my best 4 mile time of 47:58...just a sliver under a 12min/mile pace. I don't think I am walking much of that 4 miles, but I can't say exactly how much of it I walk.

Afterward, my friend and I headed down to do some weights. I sat down, stood back up, and felt like I was going to hurl! I ended up going to the bathroom and throwing some cool water on my face and arms. It took about an hour to shake the nausea. I didn't end up doing any weight training because of it! I have no idea what happened.

Ok, ladies, you will understand this celebration. Usually, AF (Aunt Flo) visits me around the 1st of the month. When I found out my surgery was set for March 1st, I was having visions of me not being allowed to wear underwear and it being that time of the month!!! Well.............Lucky for me, all this exercise has caused a delay in my cycle and I still don't have my Feb 1st-ish AF (and NO, I am not pregnant)!!! Wooohooooo! That means, not only will I not have AF during the surgery, I will have at least a few days of recovery before I have to worry about it. Honestly, this has got to be one of the best rewards of running...LOL. I am so relieved! Guys- You are lucky you don't have to think about this stuff...LOL!

Well, off to bed!!!!

Day 42- Rest Day & Superbowl MONDAY here in Guam. Bad, bad Superbowl food.
Day 43- 4.15 mi on the treadmill, (47:58 4 mile), @1650 calories

Excellent work on the treadmill. You are doing a super job. Also congrats on keeping AF at bay. ;)

Great run on the TM. I find TM running to be so much harder than the road. I think for me it's a psych thing, running but not really going anywhere. Hard to explain. Anyway the first thing I thought when you said you felt nauseous was that you were preggos, but you're not. Maybe TM running at that pace is just something your body will have to adjust to...and then you'll just get faster and faster without the nausea. :)
