I think I am done. I think I have abused my knee to the point where I would have had to ease up off running even if I weren't having surgery!
I only did 2 miles today on the treadmill. I was adjusting my gait to try and avoid the pain I have been having in my knee over the last week. My thinking is that the Motrin was helping me more than I thought. I have not been allowed to take Motrin or any aspirin containing products 2 weeks prior to surgery. I really could use a Motrin or 5 right now!!!
So, I think it's time for the knife & drill to fix me...LOL.
My eating has been good today, and I am hoping to have at least maintained my 20lb weight loss for my weigh in on Thursday. As I mentioned yesterday, I think I have probably gained a couple pounds. Bad me!
So today, I most likely say goodbye to running for 3 months. It's kinda sad, and I know it will start getting to me on my 3rd or 4th day without a run.
Day 63 - 2.3 miles or so

Remember it's not forever! Running will always be a part of your life, even when you have to take a 3 month break. It's time to focus on healing that knee! Keep us posted on things.
You have come so far on this journey that this is just a pit stop. Yes the surgery will help, but what will really get you through is the strength and determination you've been building.
DO keep us posted.
I totally understand. Since I reduced my mileage, and eventually stopped running altogether, I started eating horribly. For some reason, when I don't workout, I eat very bad. Over the last three months, I feel like I had begun to revert back to my pre-weightloss self. This really scared me and for the past week I have been really good. So, just try to be sensible about what you can eat, especially since you won't be as active after your surgery and I'll try to follow my own advice. Keep us posted!
