A new puppy!!!!!!!!

We are beyond excited right now. We found a puppy! After placing want ads on craigslist here, in Dallas, and in Oklahoma City, we got a response from someone who has 1 week old puppies! They are 3/4 beagle and 1/4 lab. The pup's dad looks SOOOO much like Kermie, our 8yr old lab/beagle mix.

The lady was so sweet and sent us lots of pictures to help us make our decision. It just so happens that her husband is a Navy Chief, too! Small world. Best of all, she is giving the pup to us for FREE! We are so thankful.

We told the boys about her today. We set up a 'treasure hunt.' It led to a beagle Webkinz and then to a box with a photo album of the pictures she gave us. In it, we put a note that explained to the boys that we are going to be getting a puppy and how they had to pick out a name for her. They are so excited! They were showing off the photo album to all of their friends.

So...in about a month, we will make the drive to go pick her up! So far, we have "Bagle" and "Ria" for names. Kaden came up with "Bagle," because that is what he calls beagles,and Andy came up with Ria. He said he just made it up.

It is going to be one LONG month full of anticipation!
