I can't believe I haven't typed anything for 10 days. Let's see...to pick up where I left off...
Thursday the 7th, I walked 5 miles with Hilary.
My husband had a 4 day weekend. On Saturday, we stayed the night at the Pacific Islands Club here, which has a waterpark. Our boys had a BLAST and it was so relaxing to get away for a night! That night, we went to a restaurant we had been wanting to try. That night turned into a free night. I had skipped my free night on Friday to save it for Sunday. Oooops.
Sunday, my son's actual birthday became a free DAY. I talked myself into having pizza and chocolate. So I ended up eating bad Saturday night and all of Sunday.
I have felt bad about it all week. I feel like I blew my diet completely, even though I was great getting back on track on Monday. These are the thoughts I have to push through. Bad days...or weekends....ARE going to happen. I cannot let it get me so down that I give up all together.
Exercise this week hasn't been all that much. I missed a couple 1 mile walks, which is kind of a relief. It is nice not having the pressure of a walking streak. The 1mi walk is still a goal, though. Today is the 15th and it starts the 2nd half of my 3 month goal. It's a perfect day to get completely back on track.
On a positive note, today I was walking with Hilary. There is this hill that I was dreading going up. It KICKED MY ASS in September when I walked up it. Well, today I walked up it and was hardly even breathing hard!!!! Inspired, I came home and took the pup out for her walk. I ran up the hill in our neighborhood and really felt how much better shape I am than I was just 5 months ago. I almost liked running up the hill...LOL!!!

Thursday Feb 7th - 5mi walk with Hilary, 1mi walk w/ dog
Friday Feb 8th-1mi walk w/ dog
Saturday/Sunday- tons of swimming, walking and stairs!
Monday Feb 11th- 1mi walk w/ dog
Tuesday Feb 12th- 3mi walk with Britt, 3 mi walk/run with dog
Friday Feb 14th- 3.5mi walk with Hilary, 1.5mi walk/run w/ dog, 1mi walk

Week 6 miles : 14.5
