Hills!

Hills have given me new confidence. On Sunday, I just wanted to get my 1mi daily walk with the dog over with. I decided to run. For the hell of it, I figured I'd try to run up a STEEP hill that I have NEVER even considered running up before. The hill is only about .2mi long. Well, I DID IT!!! I walked a minute, then ran back down the hill. After I ran down, I continued running on the .4mi path. The path is pretty flat, but has a slow downward trend. I walked for a minute, then ran up the hill, which is much more steep than the path, back to my house!

It's amazing how strong running hills that you never could run before makes you feel. I did the same thing last night for the heck of it.

This week, I am hoping to get my miles back up around 20. I plan on doing 4+ mi on the treadmill today. However, I am sitting here waiting for the service guys to come flush out my A/C. I'll head to the gym after they finish.

Saturday - 1mi walk w/ dog
Sunday - 1 mi walk/run w/dog
Monday - 1mi run w/dog
