Water World

This morning, on the way to drop my boys off at school, I asked Andy (almost 6yrs old) what he will miss most about living on Guam. His response was, "The hotel with the water slide." One of the hotels here has a couple pretty decent water slides. That is where we plan on going for his birthday.

I then asked him if he remembers when we went to Water World when we were home visiting in Colorado. He did not. I told him how it was SO much bigger than the hotel's water park and was one of the best in the US. He got so excited! I told him that we can go next time we go home for a visit in the summer.

That got me thinking. I really do avoid going to places where I have to wear a swimsuit. I will if I have to, but I don't like it because I am so embarrassed. I generally LOVE things like water parks and amusement parks. LOVE them. In fact, when I was 17, I had a season pass to Water World. It is sad how I now avoid such things because of my weight. I really want to take my boys to these places.

Today, I got a charge in my motivation. I realized that by the time we can go to Water World, I CAN be skinny!!! I can be excited to go without worrying about the swimsuit. The day I can go to one of those places and not be ashamed, will be a great, great day. It honestly will probably be a highlight of the last decade, it means that much to me.
