Yesterday-
Day 5 (yesterday) - 3 miles
-----------------------
6pm - Ran/walked 2 miles. Ran about 2/3's of that total. Had a hard time with it. For some reason, my legs felt really tired from the beginning. I pushed through, though.
6:45pm - Walked 1 brisk mile with the family.
Stayed around 1600 calories
Today-
I plan on making this an easy day or even full rest, who knows, it's early. Making today a rest/easy day will put my schedule on track for next week. Today is New Year's Eve and we are going to a potluck party. Typically, at these type of things, I munch and munch. I never eat 'til I am ready to puke, but I take in FAR to many calories. Tonight I am going to eat, but I am going to control my portions. I know it's ok to 'splurge' once in a while, but that one night cannot turn into falling off the wagon completely.
In the past, I also have had free DAYS instead of free MEALS. In other words, I would have made today a free day instead of a free night. We would make a trip to the store for whatever sounded good, and I would eat way to much all day long. Then the next day, I would feel obligated to eat leftovers...and I never would get back on track!!! *Sigh*
So my goal is to:
*Be on track with calories during the day, today
*Control my portions tonight
*Back to normal tomorrow
*3 miles tomorrow.
Day 6- Rest Day, 2000 calories or so

All the best. Keep at it.
Those are great goals for New Year's Eve, Jenn. You can do it! I'm sure you'll feel great on New Year's Day.
I'm looking forward to seeing you achieve your goals for the New Year.
Jenn,
Happy New Year! I know it will be a good year for you.
Good luck on meeting your goals. I read some of your other posts about the whole military thing. We're a Marine Corps family here and completely understand what you're talking about. Hope this next year brings you happiness!
Good job getting out there and ding some run/walk. Keep it up!
Great goals, and I'm sure you'll succeed. Way to push through your run, too. :)
